Whitework handkerchief of fine lawn, embroidered with cotton in satin, stem and speckling stitches with cutwork and insertion lace stitches. With an elaborate cutwork edging worked in various designs of insertion lace stitches. There is a repeating floral spray designed in each corner which project along each side of the handkerchief, and in one corner is the initial 'R' embroidered within a flower strewn motif.
