Panel of embroidered red wool with polychrome floss silks in chain stitch. One edge is decorated with long-armed cross stitch and insertion stitch is used to join together the three long strips which make up the panel. There is a deep border of zig zag lines at the lower edge, enclosing three stylised floral sprigs. Simple sprigs, leaves, animals and other shapes are arranged in rows up the three strips. At the top and two borders curve inwards as though the panels were to be shaped for some item of costume.
