A portion of a panel from a linen tunic. Egypt, ca. AD300-600. Tapestry woven in red, pink and green wools and undyed linen thread. One side is selvedge. At the centre is red, rose icon surrounded by a green circle border. Floral leaves extend out from the circle, probably to each corner. Between each group of leaves is a red amphora. This sits within a pink circle with corners made into a square and in the corner that remains is a green leaf within a green circle with two extending swirls coming out from it. The corner that remains has alternating amphora and baskets. The amphora are red and the baskets green and both have branches and leaves coming from the top. The piece is stained and with some holes.
