Orphrey of crimson silk velvet with an appliqué pattern embroidered in silver-gilt and silver thread, and red and yellow silks on canvas. Symmetrical pattern of scrolling leafy stems enclosing fruit devices, repeated in a vertical row. On either side is a narrow border filled with a wavy floral stem. Made up of two pieces of velvet sewn together.
