Collar of bobbin lace. The design is based on a row of nine roses, and the central one in the widest part of the collar is larger than the other. The spaces between the roses are filled with various arrangements of leaves and buds. The edge is formed of a series of scallops, each consisting of a rosebud in between two leaves. The various parts of the pattern are joined by picoted brides.
