Lace part consists of motifs made in cloth and half-stitch with both woven and bunched-thread outlines. The parts are linked by a simple looped mesh, worked with bobbins in imitation of needle lace. The edges are decorated with linked sprays of roses, down the centre are isolated sprays of roses, fern leaves, shamrock, lobed leaves, unidentifiable flowers and birds.
