Zigzag is a glass sculpture consisting of cut plate glass with straight vertical back and zigzag front. These pieces of glass have been piled together and pinned with metal bolts, then set on an aluminium mount.

This work was made, speculatively, by Harry Seager while in New York in the early 1970s. It remained there until its return to this country in 1993. Seager's ground-breaking work in flat glass and his teaching at Stourbridge School of Art have been influential on a generation of glassmakers.
