*The equipment though designed in the 1930s was not manufactured until the late 1950s or early 1960s and was sold as 'Abbatt
Developmental Toys for Assessment & Training' in England where Morgenstern and his family had settled in the late 1930s. This was probably the first range of commercially produced toys designed for the disabled.
All pieces are of plywood and painted. Each has a hole drilled through the centre which is large enough to be used with one of the Threading Toys.
1-3. squares; painted dark blue; red and yellow. 1 7/8in sq.
4. hexagon; painted red. gt. w. 2 3/4in
5-7. triangles; painted dark blue; red and yellow. gt. ht. 2 3/8in
