Man's nightcap of embroidered linen with silks in detached buttonhole, stem, chain and satin stitches. Still in the flat and not made up. Four tapering segments and attached border are decorated with a floral scroll pattern. The outlines are all drawn in. Some of the leaves are worked solidly with green silk in a detached needlepoint stitch and a few flowers are outlined in stem stitch and worked in red, blue and cream silks in a similar manner on the linen.
