Sampler of three joined lengths of single canvas embroidered with silks and wools. With coloured marking threads every ten threads, bound with blue taffeta ribbon, and embroidered in gros and petit point with a full range of Berlin wools. Some silk thread are used to highlight a few of the patterns.

The sample designs include several geometric patterns, part of an alphabet, butterflies, a squirrel, a parrot and flowers. At one end is part of a pattern for a slipper with a design of roses worked in petit point.
