Embroidered linen hanging with crewel wools in red, brown and green in long and short and stem stitches. With a slightly ribbed weave. Made up of four narrow pieces of linen on each side of which is embroidered a wavy stem from which spring vine leaves, bunches of grapes and tendrils. Each of the stems emerges from a small mound at the base. The second stem from the left is drawn the opposite way round from the other three. The design is precisely drawn and worked. The grapes are all shaded carefully and the leaves, which have very pointed serrated edges, are all outlined in red.
