Physical description

Chemise of white linen with short sleeves and a bust gusset. Cut into one piece without shoulder seams. The neckline is rounded and the fullness gathered into a neckband to accommodate the bust, and enlarged with two 'V' shaped bust gores. There are short, straight-cut sleeves, gathered at the band and at the shoulder where they are set in straight with square, folded to triangle, under the arm gussets. The shift is slightly flared. The hand stitching is very fine.

Comparative piece:
