Woman's petticoat made of light blue silk satin lined with glazed undyed wool and wadded with a thin layer of wool. It is quilted in running stitch with light blue silk thread in a border of flowers and leaves at the hem and undulating parallel diagonal lines above. The petticoat is made of 6 panels of silk, with pocket openings in the side seams. There is a wide box pleat, with side pleats, at the centre front, and an inverted box pleat, with side pleats at centre back. The waist is bound with a ⅞-inch (2.2 cm) wide blue linen tape, extending to form the ties on each side.
