The cross-orphrey, depicting the Crucifixion with the symbols of the Passion, was probably embroidered in Cologne. The chasuble was formerly in Sweden, and the contemporary orphrey was added in Germany by Canon Franz Bock, from whom the Museum acquired the vestment in 1863. |
