Chalice veil made from a patterned tissue silk edged with bright yellow fringing with an applied yellow patterned braid cross in the centre of the lower half. The veil is lined with green silk. Hand-stitched.

The silk is a tissue with a green ground and staggered motifs of large flowers, leaves and berries. The colours are subdued, and employ eleven shades (pink, blue, yellow and black). The repeat incorporates one pink floral group and one blue. The pattern is bound in 3/1 twill. The ground is dark green with an additional cannellé warp flush with short stemmed flowers in a staggered reserve.
