Man's nightcap of crimson silk velvet, the crown lined with crimson silk taffeta. It is made of a rectangle of velvet, folded into 4 peaks at the crown. The brim is separate and shaped into a split peak front and back and lined with red silk sarsenet. A tree motif is embroidered on each side and the front with silver filé. The brim is embroidered with silver and silver-gilt filé in pomegranates, swags and stylised leaves.
