Bag knitted from beige coloured plant fibre. Embroidered flowers in coloured raffia. In a pattern of alternating bands of stocking stitch and slanting bands of stocking and openwork stitch. The top and bottom edges are trimmed with a frill of bobbin lace.

The bag consists of a straight panel of material attached to a rondel of twisted blue plant fibre which forms the base and fastened at the top with twisted cords of the golden beige plant fibres to the ends of which are attached a looped tassel of gold, brown and pink plant fibre and a smaller one of the same material. The body of the bag is embroidered with raffia flowers which include pansies and tulips in shades of pink, blue and green in satin and stem stitch. Lined with pale pink silk.
