Pair of scissors, chased silver; China, 675-750, Tang dynasty
Physical description
Pair of silver scissors, consisting of two blades, joined by a twisted wire. Each blade is chased on one side with a design of foliate scrolls, and on the other with a pattern of clouds. The blades are arranged so that one design of each type is visible on the blades on each side of the scissors.
