Man's shoe of embroidered cotton. The sole is leather and the upper is formed from cardboard with an outer covering of white cotton twill and a lining of a green, fluffy cotton. The heel section, which is seamed onto the main part, is unlined and was probably designed to be trodden down. A palmette inside a triangular niche has been embroidered onto the cotton with gold metal thread.
