Day dress consisting of a bodice and skirt of white spotted silk trimmed with cream machine lace insertions.

The bodice is waist length with a wide collar trimmed with the crochet insertion and with fairly full sleeves also trimmed. Open in the front to show an attached vest with a high collar of white gauze trimmed with crochet lace and rows of vertical tucking. Lined with white gauze and the waist consists of a buckram band.

The skirt is of matching material also trimmed. It is cut on the cross, and flares to three narrow flounces above the hem. There is a hook and eye fastening at the centre back, and the plaquet closes with snap fasteners.
