This figure representing Diana, together with A. 8, 9, 10 -1947, was presented to the museum by Lord Wimbourne when he left Wimbourne House Arlington Street where they had been in niches in the dining room. They had been bought from A. Strom 23, Rue Saint-Lasare, Paris in 1919, and then they bore the attribution to Fremin. No details appear to be available as to provenance.

Physical description

Stone figure of Eros. Eros is shown as a naked young man with small wings. He holds a flower to his breast with his right hand, his left hand holds drapery caught at the side and passing between his legs. The trunk-like base carved as clouds(?).
