Mortar
ca. 1500-1550 (made)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
This mortar has elements associated with the products of both early and later members of the Alberghetti family, therefore it is difficult to date this mortar accurately. The shape of this morta, however, falls into the category of the classical Renaissance type of the first half of the 16th century. Therefore it was more likely produced earlier in the 16th century.
