This Christ statuette in carved ivory is intended as a figure for a crucifix. It is Netherlandish or French and made in ca. 1700.
The loin-cloth is tied on the right side. The hands and feet are pierced and there is a hole in the head for the attachment of a nimbus.

Physical description
The loin-cloth is tied on the right side. The hands and feet are pierced and there is a hole in the head for the attachment of a nimbus. The head is bent towards the right shoulder, and the eyes closed. The right foot is positioned on top of the left.
