This is a Russo-Greek triptych possibly made in the 18th century and probably from Mount Athos. This triptych is in booxwood and carved with scenes from the life of the Virgin, Christ and St. John the Baptist.

Physical description

Triptych carved with scenes from the Life of Christ, the Virgin and St. John the Baptist. The triptych has a lunette-shaped top; the centre is divided into twenty one panels -the wings into nine panels, each panel being bordered by a rope moulding, with an inscription.
