'American and European Art and Design 1800-1900' This panel, bought from the manufacturer, shows some of the floor tiles made by Parvillée Frères for the restoration of the Château d'Eu, which began in 1874. Parvillée's work for the French government and his experience in restoration and reproduction work ensured the company's prestige, here recognised in this commission by the Château's owner, the Comte de Paris, and the architect Viollet-le-Duc.(1987-2006)
