Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat (1844-1910) specialised in copper red glazes combined with rich greens and purples, which he exhibited first in 1892-3. He established his workshop in Bourg-la-Reine with his wife and their three sons in 1889. After the death in 1893 of his chief collaborator, Alphonse Voisin Delacroix, he worked with with Mlle. Adèle Lesbros & cie. in aiming to produce high quality but reasonably priced stoneware. Also in 1893 he won a gold medal at the International Exhibition held in Chicago.
