C.35 to 66-1918 were presented to the Museum by J.D. Crace Esq [John Dibblee Crace], of 15 Gloucester Place, Portman Sq, W, on 21 Feb 1918: see R/F 594/18.

Extract from letter of donor to Mr A.K. Sabin, 20 Feb 1918 (in the RF): "...Specimens of the tiles, all of which were brought by my father, John Gregory Crace, from Tlemcen... about 1880"

A handwritten note pasted into the Register (not signed): "Inlaid tile ornament (fragment only) brought from Algeria by J.G. Crace 1876-77. From Tlemcen"
