Object history | This watercolour with E.229-1999 was part of lot 276 in the Dudley Snelgrove Collection sale at Sotheby's New Bond Street 19th November 1992. The lot went to the Science Museum for £380 hammer. They wanted a watercolour of limekilns by de Loutherbourg in the same lot. (Their inventory no. now inv.1992-1066.) They did not want the Dayes drawings so they transferred them to the V&A. |
