Dish of tin-glazed earthenware painted with blue enamel. Circular with a shallow central well and rising rim. In the centre is a figure of Hope holding an anchor and a bird. The rim is divided into broad and narrow panels. The narrow panels contain a ribband-like motive and the broad panels alternate with pomegranate and leaf design and chrysanthemums. On the back, the rim is divided into lobe-shaped panels, each containing a leaf-spray.

Physical description
Dish of tin-glazed earthenware painted with blue enamel. Circular with a shallow central well and rising rim. In the centre is a figure of Hope holding an anchor and a bird.
