The base and nine fragments of the rim of a dish painted in blue, yellow, orange and green. The decoration consists of a central rosette surrounded by concentric bands painted with various formal designs on grounds of different colours; amongst them is a wide band of egg-and-dart pattern. The back is painted with concetric rings in blue of varying intensity, and a yellow band round the edge.

Portions of a "waster of tin-glazed earthenware (maiolica), painted in colours. Italian (Faenza); late 15th century or early 16th century.
Physical description
The base and nine fragments of the rim of a dish painted in blue, yellow, orange and green. The decoration consists of a central rosette surrounded by concentric bands painted with various formal designs on grounds of different colours; amongst them is a wide band of egg-and-dart pattern. The back is painted with concetric rings in blue of varying intensity, and a yellow band round the edge.
