Jardiniere of tin-glazed earthenware painted with enamels. Double-ogee profile mounted on a spreading foot, from which intersecting rococo relief scrolls rise to form a calyx supporting the body. Rim moulded with rocaille decoration. Above this rises a domed surface pierced to take flowers and topped with rococo scrollwork. The back is flat and is pierced with two holes for suspension. Across the body hangs agarland of leaves and flowers in relief painted in red-brown, blue-green, yellow and manganese purple. The scrollwork is picked out in blue, yellow, blue-green and manganese-purple.

Physical description
