Cup and saucer of porcelain transfer-printed and painted in brown. Decorated with versions of 'La Cascade' from a plate by Robert Hancock. It shows a woman and gentleman strolling beside a monumental fountain formed of three cupids and a goat carried by a pedestal of dolphins. A seated mandolin player and two other figures are in a landscape to the right. The rims are painted with a border of feathery scrolls springing from lozenges, and motifs based on a lozenge with a pendant of dots.
