Mug of hard-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Bell-shaped with a reeded loop handle. Painted with bouquets of flowers and on the front in a gilt scrolled panels is a castle-gate surmounted by a dove with an olive-branch in its beak. Below are the initials 'J N' and at the top is a border of gilt cresting.
