The scene is a view of ruins and Chapel of Stanton Harcourt from an engraving in the 'Virtuosi's Museum' drawn by P. Sandby 1778. ECC. Trans. Vol 10 Pt 1.
Production
The underglaze blue decoration was carried out at the Caughley factory, and the gilding was probably added at Chamberlain's works. From a service with landscape views largely or wholly copied from prints after Paul Sandby
