Physical description

Figure of a farmer holding a bird's nest, soft-paste porcelain, painted in enamel colours and gilt. He is standing, holding the nest in his right hand, wearing a long coat diapered with pink flowers, blue breeches and black hat; his right arm rests on an overturned red pot on a tree stump; at his feet is a bird; mound base with applied flowers and rococo scrolls picked out in red and gold.
