Physical description
Vase and cover of soft-paste porcelain. Oviform with two rococo scrolled loop handles; the knob of the cover is in the form of a flower. The body is decorated with two rococo panels painted with trees, chrysanthemums and exotic birds in colours on a white ground. On the neck and cover are two small panels respectively, similarly painted with floral sprays. The remaining surfaces are covered with a blue scale-pattern, and the panels are surrounded by a gilt rococo border.
