Physical description
Vase and cover of porcelain painted with enamels and gilded, and made in imitation of Sèvres porcelain.
[Vase] Vase with an ovoid body, wide neck and high foot resting on a square plinth. On the neck, gilt cords in relief pass under a gilt stud on either side. Reserved on a pink rose du Barryground and enclosed by raised gilt scrollwork are medallions, on one side with flowers and fruits, and on the other with a figure-subject of a young shepherd and shepherdess reclining beside a rose-bush in the manner of Boucher.
[Cover] Cover with a handle in the form of three linked gilt rings.
