Physical description
Jardinière of hard-paste porcelain, painted in brown with a figure allegorical of America, and decorated with gilding. Of semi-circular section, with two gilt ring handles. Painted with a reclining figure of an Indian woman with a baby beside her, a Cupid flying above and a stag and palm trees in the background, all in an oval medallion with a gilt conventional border. The bottom is inscribed 'America.'
