'The highly ornate, rococo-moulded cone-shaped vase and cover, recurs frequently among this small early class of Vauxhall....The rococo vases, the remarkable large dragon-handled ewers derived from contemporary silver and the moulded pedestal cream jugs, all exhibit a measure of rococo exuberance entirely absent from the more conventional domestic output of the later 1750s'.
