Vase of porcelain painted in colours and gilded. Crater shaped. Gilt foliated scrolls symmetrically arranged on a deep blue ground. On one side is an oval medallion showing Ophelia about to fall into the stream, referring to a scene from Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'. Two gilt handles in the form of eagles, and with a square foot.
