Plate of porcelain, painted in enamel colours and decorated with gilding. Oval with high shaped rim. In the middle is an oval panel in which are two birds and plants. At either end is a Chinese mythical bird, phoenix, and along the sides are panels of cloud ornament. The rim has a border of rosettes and dots on a blue ground, interrupted by eight compartments enclosing floral devices.
