Physical description
Cup with cover and saucer of hard-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. The rims are surrounded by floral wreaths in colours on a gold border and the remaining surfaces are decorated with gilt ornament on a dark blue ground.
Marks and inscriptions
'E II' [in underglaze blue] and a star [in gold] (Period of Catherine the Great of Russia (1762-96). The star is found on prestige orders.)
