Cup, cover and saucer of hard-paste porcelain. Ogivally curved cup with profiled angular handle. The cover knob as a bronzed and gilt laurel wreath. The cover painted with an oval of putti emblematic of painting honoured, the cup with a portrait of Angelica Kauffmann, probably from the engraving by F. Bartolozzi after Sir Joshua Reynolds. On the saucer there is a representation of Ariadne deserted by Theseus in the Island of Naxos, Cupid weeping at her feet, probably from the engraving by E. G. Krüger after the painting by Angelica Kauffmann in the Dresden gallery. Green, red and engraved gold borders including roses and guilloche ornament.

Physical description
Cup, cover and saucer of hard-paste porcelain. Ogivally curved cup with profiled angular handle. The cover knob as a bronzed and gilt laurel wreath.
