Sugar box and cover of hard-paste porcelain. Oval shape, straight sides, scrolled loop handles. Domed cover with pine-cone knob. Painted in underglaze blue, enamel colours and gold in late famille verte style with oriental flowers and butterflies. On the cover edge a band of red scrolling foliage.
