Figure group of Europe (from a series of the Four Continents), of hard-paste porcelain. A woman with the attributes of monarchy; including crown, sceptre and orb, seated on a prancing horse. On the irregular flowered base a globe, protractor and book with geometrical diagrams. Tree and rock support. Painted with enamel colours and gilt; costume largely white, the skirt with coloured and gilt Indian flowers; puce kirtle with gilt Indian flowers.
