Chocolate pot and cover, hard-paste porcelain with moulded decoration and painted in enamels, made by Meissen porcelain factory, Germany, ca. 1745
Physical description
Chocolate pot and cover of hard-paste porcelain. Pear-shaped, rib-moulded, S-handle, funnel-spout. Low cover with ball knob. Painted in colours with Holzschnittblumen and 'shadowed' insects. Spout and handle touched with crimson purple. Brown edges.

  • Crossed swords with a dot (Factory mark, in underglaze blue)
  • '3' (Impressed)
