Vase and cover of porcelain, painted in enamel colours and gilded, in imitation of Sèvres porcelain. Elongated ovoid body, with perforated border and a gilt female mask in relief on either side; the lower part decorated with gilt acanthus foliage in relief. High foot rising from a square plinth with incurved corners, domed perforated cover with knob in the form of a cone. On either side of the body is a circular panel, reserved in white, on a rose Pompadour ground and surrounded by gilt scrolls. One panel encloses a trophy of musical instruments suspended by a ribbon, the other a basket of fruit and flowers painted in colours. Round the cover is a wreath of flowers.
