Jug of lead-glazed earthenware painted in 'Majolica' colours. Decorated in high relief with four dancing rustics circling round the body, which is in the form of a stone tower. Above and below are wreaths of entwined ivy tendrils and the handle is also made of ivy tendrils. The lid and lip are bound in Britannia metal. The lid is moulded in the shape of a scalloped shell and is surmounted by a jester's head.

Physical description
Jug of lead-glazed earthenware painted in 'Majolica' colours. Decorated in high relief with four dancing rustics circling round the body, which is in the form of a stone tower. Above and below are wreaths of entwined ivy tendrils and the handle is also made of ivy tendrils. The lid and lip are bound in Britannia metal.
