Circular dish with a raised foot. In the middle a star motive from which radiates interlacing strapwork. In the interstices of this strapwork, moulded in openwork relief, are formal flowers and foliage. The reverse is mottled.

Brief description
Buff earthenware decorated in colours with metal oxides and covered with a clear lead glaze. Made by Bernard Palissy or his followers. French, second half of 16th century or 17th century.
Physical description
Circular dish with a raised foot. In the middle a star motive from which radiates interlacing strapwork. In the interstices of this strapwork, moulded in openwork relief, are formal flowers and foliage. The reverse is mottled.
