Oval dish moulded in the middle with the design known as 'La Fecondité' (a naked woman reclining on a couch, surrounded by five gambolling children), architectural details in the background, with a garden to the left. The rim of the dish is moulded with a summetrical pattern of foliage and flowers repeated eight times. Variously coloured blue, greyish green, brown shading off to pink, and purple. The sides of the dish and the reverse are mottled.

Oval dish in earthenware decorated in low relief with an allegory of Fecundity. French, style of Bernard Palissy, second half 16th century. The elongated figure is in the style of the School of Fontainebleau.
